Check pageviews and estimate your bill
Understand billable traffic, included pageviews, overage charges, and the estimates shown in Subscription.
Understand what pageviews measure
Pageviews, or PV, measure page loads rather than unique people. One person can generate several pageviews by opening several pages or returning to the same page. Your billable pageview total therefore does not have to match your visitor count or the number of people who submitted a form.
Neopress's pageview policy includes human pageviews and recognized AI assistant requests that read a page to answer a user's question. Examples include requests identified as ChatGPT-User, Claude-User, or Perplexity-User. Search-engine indexing, AI search crawling, and AI training crawlers are excluded from this billable AI category.
An AI assistant request shows that the page was fetched. It does not prove that the assistant displayed a citation or recommended your business. The crawler reports and the billing total answer different questions, so do not add all crawler requests to human traffic to recreate your bill.
Calculate included traffic and overage
Launch includes 10,000 pageviews per monthly billing period. Growth includes 50,000. Additional pageviews are priced at US$1 per 1,000 PV, equivalent to US$0.001 per additional pageview. Overage is based on the amount above your included allowance, not your entire traffic total.
| Example | Calculation before tax | Estimated total |
|---|---|---|
| Launch with 9,000 PV | US$25 base, no overage | US$25 |
| Launch with 12,500 PV | US$25 + 2,500 × US$0.001 | US$27.50 |
| Growth with 55,000 PV | US$99 + 5,000 × US$0.001 | US$104 |
These examples use standard monthly prices without discounts. Overage is metered per pageview rather than rounding every partial 1,000 PV up to another whole dollar. Tax and any other applicable adjustments appear on the final invoice.
Find your current estimate
- Sign in as the owner and open the site you want to check.
- Open Subscription in the sidebar.
- Find Pageviews & estimated billing and confirm the displayed billing-period dates.
- Review pageviews used against the included allowance, then compare Base subscription, Current overage, and Estimated total so far.
- If a period-end projection is available, review it separately from the amount accumulated so far.
The projection uses recent completed days, up to seven, to estimate traffic through the end of the period. A newly started period may not have enough completed days to show a projection. A campaign or traffic spike can change the eventual result substantially.
Compare the estimate with your invoice
Use the dates shown in Subscription rather than assuming every billing period starts on the first day of the calendar month. The figures are estimates before tax and can change before the invoice is finalized. Additional traffic is included on your next invoice under the standard subscription policy.
If a figure looks unexpected, record the site, billing-period dates, pageview total, and charge you are comparing. Check that the analytics view uses the same dates and traffic categories. For a suspected metering error, contact support with those details and the invoice. An empty usage section is not confirmation that all future traffic is free. Prepaid plans may have different traffic terms. Refer to the terms provided with your purchase; the recurring-subscription estimate may not be available for a prepaid period.
