Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel a subscription
Change the plan for one site, understand when changes take effect, and confirm a cancellation or resumption.
Before changing a plan
Use this guide for a recurring Launch or Growth subscription. You must be the site's owner to manage billing. Open the correct site and check Subscription for its current plan, next billing date, and any scheduled change. A plan change affects that site only.
If your site shows a prepaid-plan end date instead of a renewal date, follow the terms provided with that purchase rather than the recurring-subscription process below. For a trial or Archived site with no subscription, choose a plan and complete a new checkout instead of trying to change an existing subscription.
Upgrade from Launch to Growth
- Open Subscription and select Compare all plans.
- Choose Growth and review the confirmation, including the features and limits that increase.
- Confirm the upgrade only when you are ready for it to take effect immediately.
- Wait for confirmation, then check that the current plan is Growth and review the resulting charge in your invoices.
The upgrade applies immediately and charges the prorated difference for the remaining period at that time. The exact difference depends on the existing subscription and time remaining, so subtracting US$25 from US$99 does not give the amount you will necessarily pay today. Neopress does not display a guessed proration amount in the upgrade confirmation.
After activation, Growth allows more editors, multilingual operation, deeper analytics, and a larger AI allowance. Team members still need the appropriate access permissions. Upgrade charges are normally non-refundable after the upgrade takes effect.
Downgrade from Growth to Launch
- Open the plan comparison and choose the lower plan.
- Read the summary of what will change, especially editor seats, languages, analytics, and AI allowance.
- Continue to the billing portal and complete the plan change there.
- Return to Neopress and check the scheduled plan and effective date.
A downgrade takes effect from the next billing period. Your current plan stays available for the rest of the current period, without a refund or credit for that period. Prepare your team before the change: Launch allows one editor seat, and additional editing access may be reduced to viewer access. Public multilingual operation returns to the default language, while saved language content is retained.
Cancel renewal
- In Subscription, select Cancel Subscription.
- Review the effects of moving to Archive and confirm the cancellation.
- Check for the canceled status and the date until which your current plan remains active.
Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not end paid access immediately or automatically refund the current period. Continue using the current plan until the displayed end date. Once paid access ends, editing and paid features are restricted under Archive.
Resume or resolve an uncertain result
Before the scheduled end date, use Resume Subscription if you want the recurring subscription to continue. Confirm that the cancellation notice disappears and the renewal information is shown again. If the subscription has already ended, choose a plan through the purchase flow; resuming a scheduled cancellation and starting a new subscription are different actions.
If payment fails or a change remains pending, check the current plan and invoices before retrying. Keep the site name, time, and error message for support. A payment tab opening or closing does not confirm a successful change. The expected result is a verified current plan or scheduled change with the correct effective date.
