SEO and AI search

Prepare your site for search and AI discovery

A practical launch and review routine for search visibility, AI discovery, and the metrics that tell you what happened.

Search visibility starts with a useful page that people and crawlers can reach. Neopress provides page metadata, public URLs, an automatically updated sitemap, and tools for reviewing search traffic and crawler visits. Use them together with clear content and a regular review routine.

Understand SEO and GEO

SEO means Search Engine Optimization. GEO means Generative Engine Optimization: preparing content to be understood and potentially used by generative AI services. Neither is a switch that guarantees a ranking, an AI citation, or a recommendation.

Keep three outcomes separate: a crawler reads a page, a search or AI service displays it, and a person follows a link to your site. Neopress records evidence for different parts of that journey; a crawler request alone does not prove the other outcomes.

Prepare a page before launch

  1. Write the page around one visitor need. State what you offer, who it is for, and the next step. Put important explanations in readable page content rather than only in images.
  2. Open Settings → General. Set useful site defaults, then select the page or CMS entry to give it a specific title, description, and sharing image.
  3. Review the public URL. For multilingual sites, check the actual public version in each language rather than assuming a translated draft is already available.
  4. Publish the page and any content it depends on. Open its public address and follow the important links.
  5. Open Settings → Sitemap and use View XML to confirm the published URLs. Review robots.txt if you have changed crawler rules.

Connect evidence to improvements

Connect Google Search Console after your site is live. In analytics, Top Keywords and Top Pages show the search performance Google reports. Compare relevant periods, then improve pages where the query and the page's answer do not match.

Use the AI and crawler reports to understand recorded requests. AI bots represents realtime assistant fetches; Indexing and Training cover different background-crawler activity. A recent crawl is useful operational evidence, but does not identify the answer in which your brand appeared.

Keep optional files in perspective

You can add a custom llms.txt describing the site and linking to important pages. It is optional, and Neopress does not create its contents automatically. Google says its generative search features do not require a special AI text file or special schema. See Google's AI search guidance.

Basic analytics and Search Console connection are available from Launch. Growth adds detailed crawler reporting and deeper analysis. Choose your next change from observed search performance, human visits, and inquiries, then check the result after the changed page is public.
